Test Results FAQ

When will I receive laboratory test results?

if you have done or are required to have a laboratory test-

For Casual Patients -

  • Normal results will be communicated with you by email, between 5-7 days once we have received the results.
  • Urgent results will be communicated as soon as possible once they are available to us, by email or phone.

For Enrolled Patients -

  • Normal results will be communicated with you through the health portal, between 5-7 days once we have received the results. These will not be emailed.
  • Urgent results will be communicated as soon as possible once they are available to us, by email or phone.
Enrolled patients, please make sure you are registered to access the health portal, if not please email or contact us and we can help you out to register. Only abnormal results will receive an email or call.

Parking FAQ

Parking in Wilson Carpark

As with our other carparks, please remember to scan the QR code at the reception area.  Ponsonby Doctors is not liable for any tickets you receive as a result of failure to scan the QR code.  

This is a complimentary carpark on a 1st come 1st serve basis.  If bays are full, you need to look and pay for other alternative car park spaces or use street parking.

Consultation FAQ

How long is a standard consultation?

A standard consultation is 15 minutes.

What if I have more than one issue to discuss?

If you have several concerns or complex issues, please book an extended or double consultation to allow enough time.

Is there an additional cost for longer consultations?

Yes. Extended or double consultations incur an additional cost on top of the standard consultation fee.

When should I arrive for my appointment?

Please arrive 5–10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.

What happens if I am late?

If you arrive late, we may not be able to accommodate your appointment, particularly when the clinic is fully booked.

Where can I go for medical care if it’s not an emergency?

Please visit Ascot White Cross A&M Clinic, located at 90 Greenlane Road East, Remuera.

What should I do in an emergency?

  • Children: Go directly to Starship Emergency Department.
  • Adults: Go to Auckland City Hospital Emergency Department, 2 Park Road, Grafton.
